Hello everyone!
So I was playing #AnimalCrossingNewHorizon today (like every day) and I suddenly felt the need to share my story with Animal Crossing and why that series as a whole is so important to me.
(Long thread incoming!)
So to start, I need to talk about my like a bit. I was born with a very bad health which lead me to very VERY long hospital trip and multiple surgeries.
The toughest of those trip was during my teenage years, almost 4 years without going out or moving.
What made it hard outside of the obvious, is that I was alone with very few to no visit (great family but that's another story).
The only thing I had at that time was my 3DS and Animal crossing on it.
I already at that point liked the series (played it on GameCube)
But having that game pushing me through each day in a world where none of my problem existed really gave me the energy or rather the strength to push through and endure all the shit I was going through.
Thank to those cute and often weird villagers in game.
I was not alone. At least that how I felt playing the game.
And during stressing period of that time, just fishing or running around with them, gave me just enough to do to not go insane or give up.
I wanted to share that story because sometime even a simple video game can be way more than what it actually is for someone.
I love Animal Crossing for what it is, but also for what it allow me to achieve.
Thank to that game I lived on to discover many new things.
Meet many wonderful people. Have fun, cry, basically continue to grow and live.
To end on a less heavy note, if anyone want to share a bit of gaming with me, contact me and i'll gladly add you on any platform I own.
Also If any of you want to share stories about something seemingly small that had a huge impact on your life, feel free to do it.
If this thread could be used as an outlet or to share/help people I'm all for it!

Have a nice day everyone, thank you for reading! đź’š
