I don't know where did you learned that but Prof W.Joel Schneider said that learning abilities is one of the measures to test someone's iq lvl. Yes it's true that there's no significant research that proves more language = better iq bc even I don't believe so as some people live in a surrounding with many language spoken. For example it's natural for an indian from india to speak hindi, urdhu, and tamil as that's normal+
for them. Those language is spoke in the whole india. Even so not all hv the ability to master all three altho hindi and urdhu is very similar. But it's different when it comes to learning a completely new language, something you learn in school. That's not prior knowledge.
That's something new for most malaysians unless they hv prior english education at home. Therefore it's not true when you say that a malaysian grabbing and mastering english has nothing to do with their iq level when they hv no english speaking parents as their background.
