Me: I wish I& #39;d have a consistant art style.
Also me: I wish my art wouldn& #39;t look the same all the time.
Finding balance between beeing recognizeable and not doing the same all time may be hard some time, but I think it& #39;s alright to stay in your comfort zone, as long as you stay flexible enough to accept challenges from time to time https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="💙" title="Blue heart" aria-label="Emoji: Blue heart">
Your favourite color scheme is blue and pink? Alright! Draw a pink cat in a blue room! Draw a pink plant in a blue forest!
I think the best way to develop an own "style" is to stick to something that feels easy and natural for you - in my case e.g. using detailed ballpen drawings plus watercolor, which gives a consistant look to all my drawings but enough freedom at the same time.
Another good example is the same way you draw eyes every time. It& #39;s a small part of a drawing, but people will recognize that this demon cat is from the same artist as this flower dragon. When somebody asks me "How to develop an art style", I my answer is

"Style is what happens by accident".

It& #39;s already there, all the time. Styla happens when you stop to think about what you& #39;re drawing. When you& #39;re doing "that stupid art late at night"...
... Maybe it& #39;s no masterpiece, but ir tells you A LOT about your taste and what feels natural to you.

To add something personal: When I started tattooing I hated how my tattooed lines looked the same all the time, no matter if I wanted to do an old school piece or any other "tattoo style". But when I started to allow myself to just do that kind of lines every time,...
