You’ve been bragging about the success of Wayanad in fighting COVID clearly ignoring and forgetting some facts.

Here are some of them that you can ponder on:

Wayanad is an integral part of Kerala. The land of spices representing the new stone age. One of the very few places where tribals are surviving.
The population of 817,420 only accounts for 2.4% of Kerala’s overall population.

The density is only 383 per sq km, second lowest in Kerala. The lowest is at Idukki and they don’t have any COVID cases either.
Wayanad also has one of the lowest social gatherings in the state.

You may also note that almost all COVID cases are imports and their contacts. Apparently Wayanad has the lowest contribution to the Malayalee diaspora.

Are you be able to draw a conclusion that the place has the lowest probability of any epidemics?

Now, talking about Wayanad being @RahulGandhi ‘s constituency. Of the 7 assembly segments of Wayanad, only 3 are in Wayanad. 3 are in Malappuram, one of the worst COVID hit places. The other 1 is in Kozhikode, also having a few cases.

Are you aware that Wayanad has one of the lowest no of hospitals, clinics and health professionals? During the COVID outbreak the authorities ensured adequate staff and essentials.

Sending essentials & preaching alone will not eradicate a pandemic. Our govt authorities are strictly monitoring every negligible aspect of the situation. Our health professionals are servicing tirelessly. Our people are behaving like responsible and civilised citizens.

While it is commendable that we are successfully fighting COVID, it is not the Wayanad model that has paved its way, it is the KERALA model.
