2/ Why do I bring this up?

I got caught up on in an interesting rabbit hole last night: people who disappeared. And I started one thread (still coming) then one name popped out at me:

Oscar “Zeta” Acosta.

Disappeared in 1974.

Who is Oscar?

3/ He was a Texas-born writer who palled around with *journalist* Hunter S. Thompson, and portrayed as Dr. Gonzo in “Fear & Loathing”... which was made into a movie with Johnny Depp.

The book and film featured Adrenochr0me.

In F&L, “Dr. Gonzo” brought it to Vegas.

4/ Oscar Acosta was also a lawyer who defended members of the Chicano Movement, which was the Mexican version of the BIack Power Movement.

I’m not going to dig that deep on that angle.

In 1974, he disappeared completely while going in Mexico. He was presumed killed, because...

5/ ... well, drugs & Mexico. Understandable.

While *Jim* Ac0sta’s father is supposedly Cuban, his mother is supposedly of Scottish background.

Other than lighter skin, I think Jim & Oscar look similar. Plus (alleged) birth year & disappearance year being very close.

6/ Interestingly, Adren0chr0me Oscar’s full name was Acosta Fierro, but he went by Acosta.

Why would Jim keep the last name?

Beyond the above, it’s pure speculation.
