I thought @Miss_Snuffy got the tone right this morning. Teachers are in the front line of this crisis. They will do what is asked of them, provided they are treated like the professionals they are. 1

But before any schools open, they need the reassurance that testing and contact tracing will keep potential cases away from them as far as possible. 2

They also need to be able to work out for themselves, depending on location and circumstances, how many children they can take safely and prioritise. Y6 and Y10 perhaps this term, but some schools may not be able to do it at all. 3

I know many teachers are fearful and think we shouldn't be contemplating reopening, but we must use this time to discuss how it can be done with the minimum risk and learn from how other countries are doing it. 4
