A short story about @YolandaWiersma

A thread!
It all started in November last year when I decided to put in for a masters degree. And with my desire not to have it in the country, I sought foreign schools. A friend @darey2011 told me about MUN in Canada. They happen to be one of the best schools in Canada
and have a very flexible tuition payment system. So I applied to the school. Finding a supervisor was the next big thing, as many graduate students seeking overseas education would agree. So I went to the faculty website and scrolled. And there she was, ---Dr. Yolanda Wiersma---
In all sincerity, her name struck me; and at once, I sent an email. She became the first supervisor on that faculty list that I ever engaged. Coupled with that, we also had the same research same interest and she just seem perfect.
Felt I found "the one" already but oh well, that wasn& #39;t the case. Some hours later I received a response email. Was so happy. I had finally reached out to someone "over the seas" and had gotten a feedback. How exciting that was. But my hope was soon dashed. She didn& #39;t know how
sad I became. When I checked the mail, I found out she wasn& #39;t available. So I reached out to my uncle and he told me not to give up. Tried a few other supervisors but our research interest weren& #39;t the same. This woman just seemed perfect for me. I was so sure she would be my
supervisor for the fall term I applied to. So I did something crazy. In February this year, I sent her another email. Got the same reply; and sent her another email. Still got the same reply. So I sent her another email telling her my reason for not giving up. So she finally gave
a listening hear. Asked for my references and Résumé. But she made no definite commitment. We corresponded back and forth twice until the time St. Johns, Canada had their first pandemic outbreak. Said she was going to reply me that weekend.
Sent her few emails but haven& #39;t gotten a feedback since then. Tried reaching her via cell, same thing. I am worried about two things but the most important is her wellbeing. Or maybe she& #39;s just got too much work load now that schools are trying to bring learning online.
I also want a feedback, no doubt.

This is where I use all the emojis I have been restraining myself from all through this thread.
