A bunch of wonderful friends & mentors got nominated for some awards & I want to highlight how **AMAZING** they are!

2/ My friend & mentor figure, @allisonoconn got nominated for the Outstanding Leader in a Graduate Student Organization Award! ( @georgetownWISE)

She is fearless, empathetic, inspirational,& she builds *everyone* up! Her positivity & passion for advocacy are truly contagious!

3/ Another mentor figure, @DrCMckinney, got nominated for the Distinguished Staff Award!

He helps *EVERYONE* and he is so passionate to support and build our university community up! He is part of @biomedgrad and I’m a random chemistry grad student & he has taught me SO MUCH!!

4/ A dear friend & colleague, @Rongfeng7, got nominated for the Graduate Student Teaching Assistant Award!!

She loves to help her students, her students LOVE how much she cares in the lab, she is organized, thorough, dedicated & empathetic—all qualities of a brilliant TA!!

5/ Another wonderful friend, Louis Poon, got nominated for the Graduate Student Teaching Assistant Award!

He loves to push students to think critically, use the strangest (&hilarious) analogies to explain reactions, and gives care to all of his recitations!

6/ Another mentor figure and professor who taught me, Dr. Tim Warren (from @TheWarrenLab), got nominated for the Gerald M. Mara Faculty Mentoring Award!

He cares to mentor the whole scientist—in scholarship, communication, leadership, and compassion.
He also loves nickel = !

7/ & @georgetownWISE, an organization that focuses on raising awareness of bias in science and academia, promoting the work of women & NB scientists,& providing support for professional development, got nominated for Oustanding Graduate Student Organization Award!
