On a brighter note from my previous thread about the lack of support from the MHTs I'm going to add something.. Not EVERYONE within the mental health sector is shit, there are some awesome professionals out there who real do go the extra mile to help when possible..
I talk a lot about poor mental health support and professionals letting me and others down, mostly because 80% of the time that's what I've experienced.
However, there are good professionals out there, when u get one, hold on to them because they're like gold dust
I just tell it how it is, I tell the raw, unedited truth about what I experience when asking for help for SMIs, for that reason I guess i'm a little like marmite, some people hate me others love me 🤷‍♂️

I'm not going to stop or cut down how often I mention my bad experiences..
Not until either mental health services get better at helping people or we stop with the bullshit like "ask for help" or "reach out" because, at this exact moment, a lot of people ARE reaching out, there's just very little to reach out to..
I'm not going to pretend that encouraging people to reach out is all good or all bad, It's a bit of both, people need to reach out for help yes, but what's the point in encouraging them to reach out if the help isn't there 🤔
We're doing more harm than good..
Trust me, from experience, it doesn't do anyone any favours telling them "the help is there" just for them to find that actually, the help isn't there 🙄
