Like @Deenike said yesterday. Fat shaming won't end at "oh let's just let people's bodies be" unlike with skinny shaming.
Literal systems have to be dismantled to include fat people. You go to a fashion show and you can sit from beginning to end and not see one fat person rep'd.
Our literal language has to be examined and deconstructed. Cause the way fatphobia is so fucking casual, you don't even know when you're doing it.
Even at the height of these conversations on here, you hardly see fat people resort to skinny shaming.
But one person tells a skinny person "oh hi, this trend you have joined in is specifically for fat people. Next thing, its "you think your beer belly is fupa" or "carry this energy to the gym" despite the fact that we all need to exercise to stay healthy.
The reason why we fight these things so hard is not because we want to be able to shame skinny people too. We don't fucking care. We all of people, know how traumatic body shaming can be.
And I promise you, we have bigger problems.
We're still fighting for proper representation in books, film, fashion, healthcare etc.
I mean y'all saw the outrage over Nike's fat mannequin. The same people you're constantly telling to go to the gym can't even get to see what exercise wear looks like on bodies like ours.
Lmaooo. I'm tired of typing. How do y'all do this thread thing?
But nah, y'all want to sit on here and compare and equate struggles all day long, because lmaooo, you can't even begin to imagine the discrimination that fat people have to deal with. Godspeed lmao.
