Thread on how to make your mornings easier on this delicate period that is the quarantine. It messed up my sleep pattern so much but I am working on it ✹
💡The key is to identify all the pain points and remove them.💡

The first thing you wanna do is to prepare the space you will wake up in. Your sheets should be clean, the dishes shouldn’t be piled up in your sink, CLEAN YOUR CUP BEFORE BED.
The next thing that should be pristine clean is your bathroom! I do my skincare in my bathroom and I am obsessed with keeping clean bc I can’t imagine doing my skincare in an unhygienic place. Disinfect it and remove all the lime scale and wash the floors, the mirrors, etc.
I like to have a nice chair in the bathroom to sit and take my time with my skincare. I just love taking my time in the morning. (U can just sit on the toilet thing tho hehe)
Keeping your space clean is really the most important because it will make you feel better and happier to wake up. You will have a beautiful morning ahead of you without all the stressful clutters around.
Now that everything is clean! Let’s move on the the next step. Which is what you do the evening before. Dinner and night routine.
A light dinner is really important to make it easy on your digestive system that also needs to rest at night! Last night I had a salad with lettuce, spinach, cherry tomatoes, cucumber and mozzarella. U can also make fresh soups with seasonal veggies.
I always shower in the evening because I NEVER get into bed dirty or with outside clothes. NEVER. I do my skincare with love. I don’t use my laptop or phone anymore. I watch TV sometimes bc it makes me sleepy. But other screens wake me up so it’s a no no.
If you usually make your room really dark (it’s the best to stimulate the production of melatonine) maybe try to open the blinders juuuuust a little so that it’s still dark during the night but some light will slightly lighten your room in the morning.
I drink herbal tea before bed with camomile and lavender which has a calming effect. U can add honey in it! Sometimes when I feel fancy I diffuse lavender essential oil.
It’s still cold-ish in the morning so I always prepare warm socks and a hoodie next to my bed to put on when I wake up because it’s really hard to get up when I’m cold. So remove this pain point if u have the same problem!
Next thing to do is plan your breakfast! For me it’s still difficult to eat anything in the morning to I am currently trying to eat a just a little to get used to it but if you like to eat in the morning, plan an exciting but not overwhelming breakfast. It has to be easy to make.
Start by putting your alarm earlier than usual but it has to be realistic. You will decrement it little by little. I wake up naturally at 7:12 now but my goal is to wake up at 6:00. A week ago I would wake up at 9.
Now u can daydream about your crush and fall asleep.
When u wake up, you have to force yourself to GET UP. Please. Think of how you have so much time ahead of you now!
1. Open your blinders and your windows! Get the cold morning wind on your face, it feels so good. If u can, you can take a walk earlyyy in the morning, it feels so good.

2. Drink water. Please I can’t believe some people wake up and eat anything before they drink WATER. How???
3. Do your skincare in your beautiful and clean bathroom. Brush your teeth. You feel fresh. Your space is fresh. The windows are open and it’s a little cold, everything is perfect to make you feel more awake.

4. I don’t exercise (yet) but this is when I would exercise if I did.
5. Now that your room has been aired, u can make your bed.

6. In the morning I like to change into something else than my PJs but that are still PJs lmao. I mean it’s quarantine so đŸ€·đŸ»â€â™€ïž I also put some perfume...
7. Finally! You are fresh and u can enjoy your warm drink. I drink tea. I like to drink it on the balcony bc of the cold air, with a magazine to read! (Still no phone). And then I have a breakfast when I eventually feel like I am able to eat.
Et voilà! The most helpful thing is to find whatever makes it difficult for you to get up early and happy and find solutions to remove these obstacles! Do things that make you happy and don’t spend too much time on your phone bc this most likely won’t have a positive effect on u.
