I grew up in the suburbs. Middle class. If my folks struggled financially I had no clue.

So a very nice neighborhood. 40+ years later I would still move there in a jiffy. Lots of changes but still a good place.

So no violence there.
Everyone has their own experience. My experience with war was very tame. I'm very lucky. Lucky enough to feel the guilt that gets left behind sometimes.
Maybe it's because I'm a literal person sometimes. I know the difference between a simile and a metaphor. Did I spell simile correctly? Doesn't matter.
Anyways. A football game? Not a war. Not a war in the trenches. Not the proper metaphor.

War on drugs? Maybe not a metaphor. Treat it like a war and people die. Meh. Still a metaphor I guess.
