I went off earlier about an anime that featured an age gap couple wherein the male was 11! And the female was 17-18.
And while I still wholeheartedly stand by my thoughts and feelings about that rant and by association that anime I must confess. There IS in fact one

Instance wherein I actually do condone an age gap couple. And quite a large age gap. And I will explain thoroughly before anyone starts calling my a hypocrite and throwing pitchforks so just listen.

The main pair are an age gap couple. Which no I do not condone...under any other circumstance aside from this one instance. She is 16 and he is 23.

And again in any other anime under any other circumstance I would not condone or approve. But why? Because of the power imbalance between the pair. The older person usually holds more power over the younger partner. They have more knowledge and are more knowledgable and so can
More easily take advantage of someone with less life experience and less knowledge. This makes the relationship not just gross but morally wrong and abuse. The older person is in every way shape and form taking advantage of the younger victim. Not partner; victim.
And then we get to inuxboku ss.
As I said she is 16 and he is 23.
Why this works. In the anime they do not ever acknowledge their age or ever place importance on it. This is primarily because they are immortal and even then will be reincarnated after they die.

But the backstories do.
Miketsukami. His backstory aged him down. Allot. He was sheltered from the world and had to manipulate and crawl his way into a better life. He had to do things that he was never proud of when all he wanted

Was a normal childhood but he was always the "sly fox" as the nine tailed fox spirit incarnation. He was desperate for love and affection yet denied that. He was made into a servant and in doing so he settled with just having a serviceable life and never hoped for more.
Until ririchiyo. And this is not the end of his story. He was tasked with writing her letters under the guise of her future husband. And it was through these letters he was able to truly be himself and he fell in love with her. Not for power or to manipulate her or take advantage
Of her but because she saw the real him and didn& #39;t shy away from it and accepted him as he was.
Now ririchiyo. 16. Her backstory being similar. That she was outcast from her family and told that because she was a reincarnated spirit she had more privilege than her sister

And shouldn& #39;t vie for her parents attention or affection. She was punished for wanting her parents love and told she held more responsibility. And so for her she had to become more mature. More cold. She had to hide her feelings and wants and needs in order to uphold her status
And of course she has childlike moments but those come in the form of insecurity when she WANTS to show her vulnerability and how much she wants or cares.

So they are an age gap couple but they are mentally not that age. He& #39;s aged down because of his trauma. She& #39;s aged up and matured because of hers. And I know what you& #39;re thinking "well that still doesn& #39;t matter; there& #39;s still a power imbalance"

No. There& #39;s not. Inuxboku ss or secret service. He becomes her body guard of sorts. And because he fell in love with her from her letters he has made it his duty to be her devoted slave and be her servant. Doing as SHE wishes and pushing

Aside his wants. She has all the power in the relationship and she has more power over him not the other way around. She calls the shots. She says what is and is not allowed or tolerated and he wants to do what she says because she showed him love.

Take on this anime. Which I will admit; not my best work but the best course of action would be to just watch inuxboku ss and see what I mean. They do not seen like an age gap couple. She doesn& #39;t behave like a 16 year old and he doesn& #39;t behave like a 23 year old. At that he

That is not the same as in other anime where a literal 11 year old is grabbing this girls face and telling her she& #39;s an old hag with wrinkles and messing with her like an older sister
