A Governor’s wife endorsed her own son threatening to gangrape someone’s mother.

Another woman who owns a publication pulls down a write up condemning that madness and then goes ahead to sack the writer.

Two women. Both known as feminists.
The joke fully writes itself.
The end.
Just imagine if those people were men.

Imagine if it was a man endorsing another man threatening to gang rape a woman, and then another man using his power as an editor to suppress the story and clean it away from public consciousness.

Just imagine what would have been said.
And yes I read the shabby shallow shameful explanation for her decision.

She hid under headline was “lewd” as reason to pull down a full article and sack a writer condemning gender based violence.

Editing the article was not ok.
It had to be pulled and the writer sacked.
Shame.
This is the most bizarre thing I’ve seen in my life. Nothing could be more ridiculous or shameful.

One woman heads State Agency for Violence Against Women. The other one teaches “feminism” and owns a publication

Both women working hard together against women’s rights.

Bizarre.
The lesson here is simple:
The first woman felt her son was under fire from strangers- he supported him even though he was threatening violence against women.

The other woman felt her rapport with the powers that be, could be jeopardised with such article- she fires the writer.
The main lesson here is:
When people are truly under fire, what they really believe comes out. Not what they say they believe- but what they truly believe.

And most people will make a choice that puts their personal benefits and gains first. Even if that means being a hypocrite.
And don’t misunderstand me:
The problem is NOT feminism.

The problem is the people who hide under the movement just for the fun and the benefits that come with it- but are never ready to do the work and pay the personal sacrifice that it attracts.

That hypocrisy is the problem.
This just reminds me:
Everyone will be faced with these kind of tough choices in life. It may be sooner or it may be later. But you will.

The prayer is to find strength to do what is right when you are faced with the choice between what you stand for and what you stand to gain.
