Ok.. rant time. How is it that I can purchase certified N95 Respirator masks delivering early next week - but an aged care facility I know of can not? These masks are costing me $150 for 20, I’m buying a few boxes and sending to this facility because the DHB have not provided!..

The facility manager has been dicked around by their DHB with frequently changing guidelines,provided their staff a very small QTY of standard flappy surgical masks to last two weeks..nothing else!I contacted the manager and they’ve said it’s like I’m giving staff a Lamborghini..

1week after they tried to get PPE gear from their DHB who seems inept with no centralised decision making happening at all. @minhealthnz @WoodhouseMP please read this thread. The facility manager is incredibly grateful that I can get them masks but I’m furious the DHB can not!

We are constantly told by Dr AB and by Jacinda Ardern that DHBs are to send facilities the gear they need ... but they’re still in limbo. This is not an isolated case either.
