Actually, aside from being an absolute sIut sometimes, he was pretty pleasant.

I based this off the Kamigami no Asobi version where he is genuinely one of the nicest characters in the visual novel/anime until he later cracks and --

attacks the main character.

Generally, he has the personality of a... I mean, he's just nice. I actually thought he was the most boring character. He's like the friend that helps you copy his homework and if not he's patient with helping you learn through things.

But --

he's also a bit of an idiot. (He has the nickname 'Ahollon' in that universe, 'Aho' meaning 'stupid'). He's definitely a dense character that in F GO gets depicted as more in line with this popular perspective of him.

The dude is many things, god of the sun (which is - in --

most literary and art works, considered a symbol of general goodness), knowledge (+ prophecies), healing and medicine, archery, music and poetry, and some other things too. He's a pretty important god in terms of the roles he's given.

The sheep that's attached to Paris seems --

to exhibit this general type of behavior, of good if not a bit weird (he turned Paris into a child???) but nothing really alarming that people have - say - against Zeus or Poseidon.

Of the crimes he's done, just a FEW of them are these:

• Niobe's 14 children were all kiIIed by both Artemis and Apollo just because she boasted about being superior to Leto (because she only had two children)

• In one --

version of Orion's death, Apollo (being angry that Artemis wanted to be with Orion), personally told Artemis herself to shoot the figure in the water as a challenge. He knew it was Orion but she didn't and she ended up kiIIing him that way.

• He wanted to sleep with a woman --

named Cassandra but she refused, unless he agreed to give her the gift of prophecy. He agreed but then she still refused his advances. Apollo then cursed her so that nobody would ever believe her.

• Daphne literally asked herself to be turned into a tree so she could escape --

his sexual advances.

• A centaur challenged him to a match in music and the centaur lost. His body is then flayed. The crime is daring to challenge a god.

Of course, there's more but yeah. Just in case someone asks, "hey why is Apollo such a piece of shit".

Though I like --

to imagine he was a lot more mild when he was younger. Mainly because sometimes experiences just makes someone bitter. This is how I make the compromise of "apollo is a nice god!" and "apollo is a terrible being, especially as a dad".

Asclepius so poorly later. Not that reasoning excuses the crime of child neglect and emotional trauma but it's a factor to at least consider

Though do remember that Apollo sided with Pan-history humans and against his twin sister, and Zeus too.
