The Padmanabha Swamy Temple is one of the most important temples in the world situated in Kerela and has a vast mythological significance too as it is one of those temples that belong to the 108 Divya Desams, that is, divine temples dedicated to the incarnations of Lord Vishnu.
The temple was originally built in 6th century A.D., and later beautified further by the Kings of Travancore after 10 centuries.
In 1731, one of the most powerful rulers of Travancore, Raja Marthanda Varma, built the magnificent Padmanabhaswamy temple.
Inside the temple, there is a long corridor with a colonnade consisting of 365 beautiful granite columns. Their surface is completely covered with carvings, which is an example of the true craftsmanship of ancient sculptors.
The sun goes down along the middle portion of Gopuram of Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple on equinox. The Temple Gopuram is so well constructed that on Equinox sun passes exactly through the middle of Gopuram passing through all the doors.
An epitome of beautiful architecture 😍🙏
