I'll talk about why the mh reboot gets an 8/10. Prepare for a thread!
1. A lot of characters I (and many others) loved are gone! Spectra, Heath, Jackson/Holt, Claud, Ghoula, and a few more I'm too lazy to add are missing.

2. The villain is not that likable. Usually in Mattel's stry driven projects have a likable villain or antagonist! Like how Torilie was, she would fuck shit up but when it mattered she would help everyone out. Now she's a shell of an antagonist-

- Moanica isn't that likable. Know her goal makes sense, she wants humanity to go into hiding just like humanity did to monster. I get that, but I don't like how she's going about it. Her army is laughable at best and pathetic at worst.

3. When they got rid of Ghoula they had to replace her with someone smart, like how they replaced Spectra (more on this later), but they didn't. They made Frankie super smart, I don't have a problem with it inherently, I like the personality change actually! -

- But seeing how Ghoula was a big part in every story it was a little heartbreaking to see her just erased from ms entirely.

4. Spectra is replaced by some ghost named Ari, again erasing Spectra was a bad idea, if Mattel has a plan for bring her back I'll change my mind bit for now I sit in shock, Ari is a good character and I don't think that they should get rid of either of them. -

- Ari is a singer whereas Spectra was an upcoming journalist. Different goals and I think you can have both.

5. Torilie isn't the antagonist that she was, she as mentioned earlier is just a background character and is replaced. I think having a dictator and Torilie would be good to the story for more comedic purposes.

6. Jackson Jekle/Holt Hyde are gone (as stated above) and I think that is a bad idea for the storyline. Ari as I told you all is a singer, she hid herself as human for years so she didn't have to go into hiding like other monsters, she doesn't -

- hide anymore but humans think she's wearing a costume and that she's human, she's a ghost as I mentioned, reason I bring it up again is because Jackson and Holt are one single body, different people. -

- They along with Ari could bring humans and monsters closer together and live with each other so no monster is hiding. That's why it's a bad idea for him and Holt to not be there. -

- but if Mattel did bring him back they'd most likely make Jackson and Holt girls, to profit off them. I'm not against it nor for it, neutral to the idea. If they do that though I think they should have Jackson/Holt be a lesbian. I'll explain why.

Mattel is a very diverse company in the doll market, they made thick Barbie, the gender neutral dolls that come with male and female clothing, they made a lot of films about monsters for fuck sake- so they are the only company I see -

- having the first gay characters in movies/shows that's mainly marketed to children as young as 6.

End of thread! I'm very passionate about Monster High because it was my favorite thing as a kid and I love the idea to turn spooky things into something lighthearted and sweet. I am the only fan I've seen that actually appreciates the reboots changes and haven't -

- blown a fuse about it, I do miss a lot about the old monster High but I have hope for the movies and show right now! I should talk about this before I officially finish the review of the reboot because everyone I've seen told about it has negative feelings about it.

the animation in done beautifully and all designs were perfect in my opinion. Now I'm done because this is too long! I do recommend you watch the movies on the reboot!
