I agree that Duque should resign - but not for reasons cited by senators. Duque put Duterte's and China's interests on top of frontliners and the Filipino people. He let Duterte and his generals to turn a nat'l health emergency into an excuse to impose corrupt and inept fascism.

Duque should resign for refusing to assert his and healthcare workers' role in confronting this crisis. He did not challenge and instead endorsed Duterte's choice of fascism over medical solutions.

As the nation's top doctor, he is a disappointment to us all.

Senators cannot wash their hands of their culpability for Duterte's coronavirus response. They approved the emergency powers law. They tolerate the prioritization of fascist solutions. Some turn PPE shortages into opportunities for patronage and epal. One even violated ECQ.

Senators have approved all of the steps taken by Duterte and Duque. They shouldn't be mad at Duque alone. Duque is merely obeying Duterte and implementing his orders. The nation's top doctor is not on top of the #COVID10 response. The generals are on top.

Also: Senators did not give Duque special powers. They gave special powers to Duterte, along with P275-billion.

Hoping senators perform their duty to check how the president uses those special powers and those public funds. Ang dami niyong ebas kunwari pero pro-Duterte naman.
