Some #wfh thoughts and observations, in no particular order:
1. I'm standing a lot more at home. I have standing desks both at home and the office, but some days at home I'm spending at least half the day standing (which is a lot for me).
2. Having windows that open in my home office is amazing. Weather has been beautiful, windows have been open. Perfect.
3. It's a lot harder drawing work/life boundaries working from home. I find myself checking email outside of "working hours" a lot more frequently.
4. Far fewer meetings on my (and everyone's) calendar. Goes with the whole concept of "most meetings should be emails..."
5. Communication is difficult. Emails don't always cut it, and phone or even Zoom is less effective than face to face. Most businesses would be better off with fewer meetings, but there's an element to being in-person that is impossible to replicate.
6. I love wearing my Nike running shoes all day. My feet have never been happier and I'll be bummed to go back to "work shoes".
7. Most days I've eaten lunch sitting in the sunshine in my backyard. My arms haven't been this tan in April since before I started in public accounting!
8. Seriously, wearing running shoes all day is just awesome.
That's all for now. I may continue adding to this thread as things come to mind.
