This IG footnote (FN389) is still being redacted by the ODNI/DOJ, which talks about a correction to a FISA being needed

Also the text from Chapter Eight is also redacted, which is a quote from a footnote in FISA renewal applications 2 and 3.

The missing text is "Russian-based", because that wording was left unredacted in a verbatim quote from Chapter Eight of the IG report that "the FBI found the Russian-based Sub Source to be truthful and cooperative". See image fitting that text exactly.

Questions:

—If the Primary Sub Source was NOT "Russian-based", why did the FBI say they were in the FISA applications?

—Why is it important for the FBI/DOJ and IC to keep redacting "Russian-based"?
