Honestly the whole "do you vote for Biden or don& #39;t you" discourse is garbage, none of us make up the majority of the electorate and our opinions don& #39;t matter that much, at this point it& #39;s just flexing your ethical integrity.
Thankfully, I don& #39;t even have to pretend I matter in the whole "do I vote for someone who& #39;d handle coronavirus SLIGHTLY better but will continue to push austerity measures" question because I live in a blue state so I don& #39;t have to think about it.
Do I hope Biden wins? I guess. But literally the only reason is fewer people would hopefully die from coronavirus. I don& #39;t expect him to meaningfully upend what Trump did or push for vital legislation we need now. If Obama couldn& #39;t do it he sure as hell won& #39;t.
In the meantime, trying to understand the catch 22 of needing to organize outside electoralism where on the one hand the left wing is more present and normalized than it& #39;s ever been but it& #39;s also still so splintered and disorganized than I& #39;m not sure how much faith I have.
In hindsight, I understand why I was a shitlib for so long, because it& #39;s just so much easier to believe incremental change works because the moment you realize everything is a fucked murder machine you also have to really work at seeing roads to better possibilities.
Anyway if you& #39;re reading this thread, my only question is why?
