so i just saw the IG post and honestly Xavier said what i’ve been itching to say. gildan t-shirt twitter might be pressed about it but i love the boldness
also, i’m not saying some of the items from said brands aren’t cool. but to call it artistic? a reach.
i just believe that the printed t-shirt community calling themselves designers is a bit insulting to actual designers who make clothing.
i’m just saying for me personally i don’t understand or support the whole “clothing brand” culture that is up and coming these days where people come up with a slogan or logo, print it on a t-shirt and then sell it for $300+. but maybe that’s just me
sure i can get behind a graphic artist designing original t-shirts with their artwork on it. but the logo thing ain’t it TO ME. i don’t know if i feel differently about it because i am so close to so many artists.
as a sidenote another reason i can’t get behind the t-shirt thing is cause fast fashion is a bit icky to me so I PERSONALLY look for clothing with more to it than just a logo or slogan because I want to spend MY money where it’s worth it TO ME
