Tower of God: 𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝟸𝟻𝚝𝚑 𝙱𝚊𝚖 (𝙿𝚊𝚛𝚝 𝙾𝚗𝚎)

(The first thread explaining all abilities and skills of Jyu Viole Grace. Spoilers for ToG season 1 up till now)
Welcome to what is my longest project yet. This time, Im tackling the expansive, tricky subject that is Bam’s powers. How he received them, what they’re used for, how powerful they are; everything. We’ll start towards the beginning: the first time Bam used a shinsu technique.
His first use of the skill ‘Fast Skip’ was during the second floor ranker examination held by Quant Blitz. This is a skill that halts the flow of Shinsu within the body, temporarily paralyzing the target. In order to save Rachel from Hoh, Bam had no choice but to learn this-
Skill on the fly, which he did. After Quant used the ability on him, Bam flawlessly executed it, under pressure, and with no practice beforehand. He pulled out a technique that took Quant, a ranker, hundreds of years to master.
To say this is an impressive feat is an understatement. No E-Rank regular SHOULD have had that much talent. At that point we had no idea of the power(s) that dwelled within him and just HOW MUCH of it there was. Now of course, he’s passed everyone who participated in this battle.

Against the bull was when he executed his first large scale Shinsu attack. Although aided by the water that surrounded him, his lone bang was powerful enough to one-shot the bull, killing it instantly. After being taken and trained by FUG, this shinsu only got stronger.
In the beginning of part 2, Bam’s shinsu has taken on an indigo-hue, likely meant to signify the transition towards FUG and his underlying pain from Rachel’s betrayal. It was more powerful than anything he’d previously used, allowing him to hold out vs ranker Mule Love.

When it comes to his ability to ‘feel’ Shinsu, its very strong. He was able to detect the lifeform stuffed into Ehwa as soon as he saw her, and later, in his duel with Kaiser, could sense its flow surrounding the weapons she used (that were invisible) and stop them.

The amount of techniques he was able to mimic/learn after seeing them or being hit with them isnt limited to Fast Skip either. Bam learned how to conjure the Blue Oar, a disk of Shinsu that acts as a hover pad, after he saw Love Using it, as well as other techniques such as-
Slider, Upshoot, Straight Ball, Pitch Changeup, and Supreme Kings Scorching Fist. [This he observed from his go with Urek] It must be said that although he was able to perform them, that doesn’t mean they were as effective. He, of course, had to practice and perfect them.
Bringing up a much more unclear subject, Ill present you with the “Lobster.” It is an exoskeleton that FUG implanted within him during his training. This exoskeleton has been seen healing Bam’s injuries. After its first appearance, he has not used it, but its been described-
As a demon that could ignite the power of the thorn by itself. (I really hope we get more exploration on this topic)
Next we’ll look at one of Bam’s most critical and powerful weapons in his arsenal: the Thorn fragments. He gained possession of his first during the workshop battle, and has since gained two oout of three more.
When referencing the thorn, the term “bowl” is often brought up. But what is it? Really, nothing important in the grand scheeme of things. It’s purpose was to serve as a harness for the power of a single fragment. After Bam gained one, its purpose was served.
The thorn fragments are pieces of the weapon the legend ‘Enryu’ left at the remains of the floor of death, meant to be “the thorn to slit the king’s throat.” It allows its user to control the shinsu within the area, and acts as a boost towards their overall shinsu flow as well.
As an ignition weapon, it has another level of strength that as far as we know, is a never-ending well of energy, capable of augmenting Bam’s strength and exerting an immense, dense aura. Teh thorn’s full power has yet to be witnessed, as the fragments havent been put into-

The workshop came into possession of the first fragment curtesy of Karaka’s desire to reactivate it, and thus going to WS scuenfist for answers. They weren’t able to find any, or get it working as he’d hoped, but Bam had no problems.
The next power Bam recieved was gained during his battle with White: the power of a a billion vengeful souls that still lay dormant within him today. These souls are a concept with loads of untapped potential, something we’ve been made aware of in the recent arc thanks to White.
They gave Bam the power, even if it was for just a couple minutes, to overpower a completed White (who at that time was likely above Bam’s level of strength). Furthermore, he didnt struggle at all once their power was activated. Almost as if the battle ended at that moment.
These souls, as of right now, dont serve another purpose aside from being a stat booster (they still reside inside him). The only technique they’ve been shown capable of is copying the Arie’s swordsmanship (something that might come in handyhttps://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="👀" title="Eyes" aria-label="Emoji: Eyes">)
A stat booster is nice, But Bam hardly needs one to win a battle thanks to his exceptional skill in martial arts; Ones that were taught to him by his mentor Jinsung Ha.

Along with this, hes been taught the basics of fighting, how to increase the flow of Shinsu to the limb you’re attacking with, strengthening his shinsu resistance, and gaining an incredible battle instinct (instinct that was demonstrated in his fight against Data Jahad)
