actually rather impressed at how much they improved combat behind the scenes of P5R

they nerfed tf out of elemental damage (enemies have a lot more resistances) and technicals have been greatly buffed (they no longer center almost entirely around Psy/Nuke damage)

You can also up Technical downs to a 100% chance now, which is fucking rad

Alongside the Baton Pass/Gun changes and the additions to Persona (balancing and Pokemon personalities!), I can definitely see myself using more of what P5's combat has to offer this time instead of just spamming high-level elemental spells over and over.
