What is it with Ari Astor and suspension-of-disbelief-breaking levels of crying?

So you could have cut the first ten minutes of this, *easy*. We didnt need to see the murder/suicide. Could have started with the fade-in at the party, let the audience pick up context clues.

There are SO MANY weird editing cuts in this film. Like, so many scenes end like a half second too early.

The closest thing this flick has to a likeable character is Josh, and that's almost entirely because William Jackson Harper is a charming dude who played a delightful character on a TV show
