The scam is about to happen. The trick is to drag writers into camps, into he-said she-said, to divert this into petty gossip instead of the real issue: a so-called writer and benefactor of Nigerian literary organisers choosing to publicly support her son’s violent rape threats.
Don’t let them spin this. They will tell you it was a little disagreement. Just a quarrel. They will tell the writers to settle. Just like they did when Elrufai had people locked up for writing and they were celebrating in Kaduna saying it was just for literature. Fuckers.
Anyone making this about literature is dishonest. This is not about Brittle Paper. This is about the Elrufai’s. I dont care about the reply. The only people who win when you start that nonsense of choosing sides is Mrs Elrufai and her rapey son. Think of that before you talk.
Never forget the goal: to scrub Mrs Elrufai’s words clean. To remove it from the news. If you fall for this diversionary back and forth you are only helping them remove it from the headlines. It is not about Brittle Paper. It is about this political family and their contractors
Another day we will face the writers now feigning outrage when they called us haters for pointing out that Elrufai had a pending judgment against him restraining him from harassing a columnist WHILE they were taking selfies with him in Kaduna. We remember. Today, let us focus.
