you know what always confuses me

every time i read tweets about the type of ships people like with thousands of notes, it's always something that can be applied to jerza

jerza really seems to have the most broad appeal out of any other ft ship so... WHY IS IT SO UNDERRATED

like even on a surface level they're great

childhood friends to enemies to lovers?
star crossed lovers?
the most attractive male and female character?
power couple?
mutual pinning?
angst?

they have all the ingredients of a popular fandom ship

broken man x strong willed woman?
the guy being in awe of his warrior queen?
the girl not taking any of his nonsense?

they have it all.

but if you dig deeper, they're even better. their relationship is built on mutual understanding and respect. they give strength to one another. they had a huge impact on each other's lives. they love each other completely unconditionally. they're great characters individually too

compared to that, what does ga*evy (or any other ft ship), have? there's nothing. no depth, no reasoning behind their feelings for each other, no characterization for Ievy outside gajeeI. all they have is the size difference and self-insert bait. why tf are they so overrated?
