I’ve been trying to find positive things about Joe Biden, and someone linked me to an article saying, “Joe Biden: Let’s Forgive Student Loans!”
And then when I read it, it said he was willing as a starting point to forgive 10k of debt per person.
Which sounds great! BUT THEN...

I found further information about Joe Biden and student debt that revealed dude was *literally* one of the guys who helped make the student debt crisis the way it is now, making sure people *couldn’t* discharge, reschedule, or renegotiate their debts.

This spiked lenders profits from 24 billion to 110 billion betweeen 05 and 2012, so ultimately a “10k per person” erasure of debt would be basically a drop in the bucket

Like, goddamn, y’all, I’m literally *trying* to get on the dude’s side, but come ON.

It’s like, “Vote for me! I’ll make the problem that I made 80% worse, 6% better!”

I don't know about you, but if I stabbed someone with a 12 inch knife, then took it out 2 inches, I wouldn't be lauded as progressive for it.

Issues like this are *begging* to be addressed before anyone can tell progressives to vote for him.

If he wasn't involved with it at all, that's one thing, but the fact that he's partially culpable needs to be reckoned with (starting with a little more than 10k, that's for sure)
