Sorry, but we are long past the time when political analysis that only takes one or two issues into account should be taken seriously among Christians.
Weigh it out. It's OK if your scale is weighted different than mine, but my goodness...I'm not so skeptical of Christians who vote differently than I do, but I am skeptical of Christian leaders who can't find any issue--not one!--where they disagree with a politician or party.
If your "Christian worldview" is such that it just so happens to map onto the same party's platform every four years--such that it has required virtually no "mental work" to vote until 2016--it should prompt some introspection as to just how your worldview is constituted.
If you don't care enough about immigrants or racial justice to at least consider those issues in your political decisions, please leave them off of your conference platforms and out of your books.
