I think it is just now hitting me that life is forever changed. We may never share beer nuts in a bar again. We may never shake hands upon meeting again. When my kids are grown, they may inherit wiping down the groceries and packages and they may teach their kids to do the same.
There’s not one speech from Trump that I can watch w/ my kids to assure them that everything is going to be ok. That those in charge are leading us to a brighter tomorrow.

There are no quotes that will go down in history embodying the hope we feel and the masks we wore.
When the final numbers are counted years from now & we’ve all lost people we loved, I want to be able to say to those who come next:

“Don’t be afraid to love. Love is the only thing that will save us. Fight for it. And let it reflect that time when we couldn’t touch a stranger.”
