Reminder: "Flatten the curve" does not mean destroy the virus. That was never the intent. Flatten the curve means extend the transmission timeline. This was always the rationale. It's now backfiring bc the experiment (yes, experiment) is causing more problems than it's solving.

Chart illustrates transmissions remain same #, just spread out over time. Flatten curve solely purposed w making sure hospitals not overwhelmed. Hospital capacity is declining due to econ ramifications of lockdown, which did not flatten curve. It may have actually ^ transmission.

Theory concluded that letting the virus run its course w/out their strategy would mean overwhelming healthcare system, which would mean *excess* deaths, & curve flattening may prevent *excess* deaths. Of course, there was never system overload, which we were told was inevitable.

If the curve flatteners are intellectually honest, they will readily admit the virus would have left us much faster under a non lockdown system. Plus, this implemented plan resulted in economic and societal devastation. It was not the virus that did this, but a botched theory.
