Sigh.

The presidential power of adjournment only applies when the House and Senate cannot agree on a date for adjourning Congress, something that is not triggered merely by the Senate holding up nominees. https://twitter.com/PhilipWegmann/status/1250545201917108224
Republicans should familiarize themselves with a little case called NLRB v. Noel Canning, which was a *unanimous* loss for the Obama administration, when they tried to get cute about whether Congress was in session.
Also, there's something hilariously silly about threatening to adjourn Congress because Congress isn't working fast enough.

Sure, fella. That'll definitely speed things up.
Republicans, you can only pick one:

(1) The Democrats won't vote on a bill for desperately-needed COVID-19 relief for small business.

or

(2) The Democrats are holding up business in Congress, therefore I declare there will be NO business in Congress.
Guys, the House is not out of session right now. They're holding pro forma sessions every few days.

Again, this is the sort of cutesy crap that the Obama administration tried, which got slapped down by a unanimous SCOTUS. https://twitter.com/DewayneSpell/status/1250550772225454080
Republicans, at some point the Democrats are going to retake the White House.

Just remember that every hair-brained abuse of office you approve of now can, at some point, be used against you.

Make good choices!
hair-, hare-?

Bah. Abolish everything.
