March 16: Germany begins lockdown. UK is seven days later.

March 23: German testing capacity over 100,000 daily. UK hasn& #39;t reached 10,000.
Germany& #39;s completed 1.7 million tests. UK fewer than 400,000.

Germany started with 621 acute care beds per 100,000. In the UK it was 228 beds.

Germany& #39;s death rate: 2.5% per 100 confirmed virus cases. 12.8% in UK.

Over 3,200 German deaths reported. Almost 13,000 In UK.
