This is my mother’s dining room table.

She is part of a network of senior citizens working together to see masks. Some scrounge up fabric. Some cut. Some sew.

They’ve made 2,000 masks in the last two weeks.

And as proud as I am of my mom, I am also enraged.

It is an absolute disgrace that over 4 months since we first learned of COVID-19 and 3 months since we had our first case here in the US, senior citizens are literally trying to stay alive by sewing their own masks.

The Trump Admin’s abject failure is an absolute disgrace.

I have friends who are entirely imprisoned at home because they can’t get adequate protective equipment.

I have others relying on food supplies being MAILED to them.

This national disaster is the result of one person’s failures.

It is an absolute, unmitigated disgrace.

In other countries, a leader who had failed as egregiously and catastrophically as Donald Trump would be seeing an angry public massing outside his gates.

It is not enough for Trump to be voted out months from now after doing further damage.

That is not enough.

Trump must be removed from decision-making.

He must be stripped of the leadership role RIGHT NOW so others with at least some competence can take over.

This failure must be remedied right this damn minute. Right now. Today.

Throw his ass out. Now.
