You know how the thing about Epson dot matrix printers was

They came with a manual describing the ESC/P2 command language and how do I put it

When you are 5 years old you get really excited about this stuff and then you spend hours building the command map for some graphics

And then you realise you cannot plug the printer into your CP/M machine because you never added a parallel port to it and you spend five days modifying the design and soldering connexions from the main PCB to an expansion PCB

And finally you run the Pascal programme you wrote

And somehow by a stroke of luck everything works and you get a pretty (for a dot matrix printer, the FX-1080) picture of an abstract geometric shape

And you totally show it to your uncle as the proof of your triumph and he is like nope wrong perspective.
