1/ Mini Thread

I wrote a short thread on waking folks up - and how we must “be the better person”. No gloating. Offer a hand to help them understand.

4-6% will be lost forever. Focus on the others.

But I wanted to focus on one aspect that I think is critical... https://twitter.com/brostreetjoy/status/1243589470995316739
2/ Being wrong.

It’s harder than ever in the world of social media & “gotchas” to admit you’ve been wrong.

The deeper one has dug in, the harder it is for them to admit it.

I know this in a very deep & personal way. But it’s hard for everyone.

So my advice is: set an example
3/ Start subconsciously sowing seeds among your IRL friends and crowds by posting something you were wrong about - something *they’d* approve of (i.e. not “I didn’t like Trump, now I do” - that won’t play 😂)

This will both show your own integrity & that it’s okay to be wrong
4/ If people gloat over you, then they’re not good friends, and fuck ‘em. They’re likely in the 4-6%

Most of the time when I admit my mistakes, people say they admire it.

This is a long term strategic battle. We must remind people what debates, facts, & truth are, AND...
5/ ... subconsciously remind (or even teach them for the 1st time) that

*It’s okay to change your mind*

*It’s okay to be swayed by facts*

This is called LEARNING & CRITICAL THINKING, & many have deliberately been brainwashed & directed away from these skills.
