Took a month but finally finished watching Community (thanks for the encouragement during this arduous journey @PapaBearZach). Thoughts: Season 1.....was fine. Average sitcom season, liked it, but nothing special about it.
Season 2, the weird good stuff starts happening. Has some of my fave episodes, like “advanced DnD” and the paintball finale. It’s kooky while still moving the plot along 2/
Anyway, that’s been my Community quarantine watching thread, off to go rewatch Rick and Morty for the 4th time. /end
Season 3 has some of my favorite episodes ever and my least favorites ever. Remedial Chaos Theory is incredible and one of the best sitcom eps I’ve ever seen. Anything “dreamatorium” is dumb. Advanced Gay is AMAZING. Chang Dynasty suuuuuuuucks. 3/
Controversial but I don’t think Season 4 is that bad. Its like season 2 in that it was fucking weird and still moved along a little bit of plot,gave characters some dimension. Basic Human Anatomy is awesome and I didn’t love the musical episode but I totally didn’t hate it 4/

Season 5, Floor is Lava is soooo good. Jonathan Banks’ character is perfect and I always love a John Oliver return. App Development best episode of the season. Thought Troy leaving would leave a bigger hole in the show but it was very much manageable. 6/
Last controversial opinion. I thought as a whole, 6 was their best season. It had the perfect mix of all the good things about the show, without the dumb weird of 3 or the melancholy of 4. I’m so pissed Paget Brewster came on the show so late in the game, she is A+ and 7/
fits with the tone so well. It felt like she had been there the entire time. The return of Subway was amazing. The crazy bad sci fi movie they make was perfect. Wedding Videography was one of the very best. Absolute perfect series finale. Final season had all the best 8/
meta jokes with the really funny parodies Community’s known for and just some really funny writing. It sucks b/c it hit this really funny balanced, kooky stride in 6 and then had to end. 9/
