Following the recommendation of Governor Lee, Murfreesboro City Schools will close school buildings through the end of the school year.

MCS will continue the process of at-home learning, just as we have over the last several weeks, through May 22nd. (1)
A decision about whether or not to resume the Extended School Program in May will be made in the next few days.
Over the past several weeks, our teachers have been reaching their students through online activities as well as hard copies of those same activities that have been (2)
placed outside the front of each school. Those strategies will continue, and we will continue our partnership with CityTV Channel 3 as well as expanding our use of Facebook, Twitter and other social media to reach families in a variety of ways. (3)
Next week, we will begin contacting our families about scheduling times to retrieve student materials from the classroom. Those schedules will be staggered so we can maintain social distancing. (4)
Additional details regarding registration of new students for the 2020-21 school year will be forthcoming in the next few days. Online registration for current students is available through the Skyward parent portal. (5)
