Now reading the poetry drama. Word of advice to any creative. Coming in any industry as a creative you have to set up yourself for disappointing and demotivating criticism. You most likely will get that especially if you aren’t known or new.
Being a creative I don’t show much emotion as a person but I do show it in my music and I be myself so it’s always authentic. You also have to understand it is impossible to please everyone so don’t pull yourself down if you’re not getting the feedback you want.
Learn how to deal with negative feedback. People laughing at your work? Laugh too! Why? Because laughing with them will help you figure out the flaws. Negative feedback is always a good thing in my view. It always shows where I need to improve
Train your mind to be strong. Being confident is being able to show your work and not taking criticism as an insult. Being confident can also change a persons view of you work. The same thing that they were reacting negative too confidence can change that to positive
Last but not least learn to detach. It’s like having a child and when the child is 18 years old they leave and live life on their own. After you put your projects in the public eyes learn to detach. Let it be what it needs to be.....
.... if you detach you won’t take on negative comments as much. Detaching is a skill you will develop with time but you must build up your confidence first.
