When it comes to healing, instead of a straight line... think of a zig zag. You may stop and feel upset/hurt and just fucking disappointed... but guess what? You’re still going forward. You haven’t gone backwards. Treat yourself gently. It’s ok if it hurts still. You’re human.

if u numb the pain, u will prolong the suffering and soberly experiencing the pain is insanely difficult but also what u NEED to do
(Unless prescribed a doctor, do not try to numb yourself or you’ll eventually be hit by a tidal wave of emotion/regret for lost time/disappointment in yourself for destroying your body/brain.) I’ve had friends completely lose themselves to their chosen coping method. (Drugs/ALC)
don’t kill yourself slowly because of someone ELSE’s actions

you deserve to be happy, you deserve love and shitty things happen but you are stronger than you know and you will survive
