Germany's government confirms the long held view of Medical Intelligence.

#covid19 #herdimmunity without a #vaccine is impossible in the short term without overwhelming the hospitals and a lot of deaths.

Therefore the strategy in Germany is to keep some restrictions, test, trace & encourage mask-wearing.

Delays by some countries to enforce lockdown & social distancing and a lack of sufficient testing and tracing have unnecessarily multiplied the spread.
Inadequate healthcare systems, low numbers of hospital beds and nurses has stretched hospitals to breaking point.
