question for fellow Midwesterners: C and I were discussing my home city of Indianapolis and I was wondering if you felt like it had any sort of defining characteristic--because as much as we rag on Ohio, at least Cleveland is kinda cool? You cannot say this about Indianapolis

to me the defining feature of Indianapolis is that it has all the trappings of a city of 1 million people but in a way it feels like Big Fort Wayne more than like a regional center of any importance
