As macabre as this is, even if it were only about "losing people" this totally omits the calculation of what it takes to keep the 3 million other people alive who need massive medical intervention. It& #39;s not like it has no effect except for the deaths. Jesus. https://twitter.com/ScottAdamsSays/status/1250416592363483136">https://twitter.com/ScottAdam...
I feel like I& #39;ve seen this 100 times: We& #39;re not doing this just to avoid the deaths (even though that would be a fine consideration!). The burden of saving the people who can be saved is immense. The horror scene unchecked transmission would produce is unacceptable.
I& #39;m deeply troubled by the economic chaos and poverty and I think we need to push to re-open as fast as we can but it can& #39;t be worse than left unchecked.
Good lord, what a follow up tweet! Keeping millions of people from drowning in their own lungs creates quite a fucking scene. Who actually is going to a movie when there are giant tents full of people dying like that. https://twitter.com/ScottAdamsSays/status/1250418138899836930">https://twitter.com/ScottAdam...
If you& #39;re in the camp I am of "this has to improve," all -- ALL -- of our energy needs to be spent on a) making this existence better and b) focusing on exactly what it will take to live with this threat and get people back to work. Testing, new ways of life, etc.
Shut the absolute fuck up about "100s of thousands of people dying is probably fine, let& #39;s just go back to things" because that& #39;s not going back to things. There are no things.
I& #39;m OK, thanks for asking.
