There's something called the brain's negative bias and could cause a great mental inbalance.

By brain's negative bias, I mean the brain is structured in a way that unhappy thoughts have more effect on us than happy ones, and sad moments have more impact than happy moments https://twitter.com/whoishabyb/status/1250491327206371333
When we place very huge expectation on ourselves and we link meeting this expectations to our happiness.

We have indirectly activated the negative bias, and even if we meet 70% of those expectations, the brain focuses on the 30% yet to be achieved, because of the negative bias
So the gap between meeting 100% of those expectations and the 70% you have met, is the playground of this negative bias.

So the negative bias already placed your happiness at the end of meeting those expectations.

So till you meet all the expectations, you wont be happy
The best way to defeat this negative bias is to stop unnecessary scrutiny and practice gratitude more.

Your future and success aren't centered at the point where you have achieved everything, they exist in the process and the small wins that make up your big success
So take each day as it comes, talk to God often and be happy.

Appreciate the small victories, introduce more positive thoughts to create a balance in your mind. Stop giving yourself benchmarks success and happiness.

Kill the belief that achievements will bring you happiness
