(1/2) Doing another PESI video thing in one of the trainings/courses I bought, some good ol' profesisonal development. Trouble is, the dude hosting this one (3rd in 3 videos) is giving so many anecdotes (a couple have been kinda irrelevant) & talks very fast.
(2/2) Dude's got that "excited parent nerding out about something" energy & has the typical grey caterpillar mustache and bushy hair. And he just jumped into another example. Dude is so scattered doing this video. Ironic given the topic and the overarching course
Dude's coat is also at least 1 size too big and it's very distracting
In the last ~15 minutes, i've jumped ahead through even more stories/anecdotes by the dude and have translated what he says into actually helpful nuggets. I'm getting more from this video by doing that then by actually listening.
Dude straight up reminds me of that overly chatty teacher/professor who knows what they're talking about, but fluffs it up to much
and he lost me. I stopped it. He's just repeating himself and never focused on the actual core idea of the video. Oy vey.
It just isnt a good training if you're talking in general terms consistently, give too many anecdotal examples (without following up on what actually happened) that had too many frivolous details. talk about the actual process. Anyway, moving on to funner stuff
Its funny how mediocre/bad professional development stuff sticks with me. Like i'm still thinking, hours later, how the dude i talk about in this thread calls back pain a "cyclical thought disorder" & says fibryomyalgia is rooted in that too. Like, what?
