Arresting the reporter is an overreach. Sets a dangerous precedent in an already dangerous atmosphere.

Condemn the misleading news. Call them out. But arresting the reporter without due process is outright wrong. @CMOMaharashtra

Also, it seems unfair that anchors sitting in Delhi and Mumbai communalise coronavirus with impunity, while a reporter from Osmanabad is arrested for an incorrect report.

Having said that, it's sad that the channel hasn't apologized, or retracted its story.
