In my article (shameless plug), I mentioned Anita Bueno and her practice that combines landscape and the Feldenkrais Method. Body in landscape, but mindfulness in body.

I also didn’t mention Laura Lawson at Rutgers. She has also worked with video to capture the role landscape plays in the lives of people in low income communities.

These people are using their degrees, their design skills in ways that don’t alway fit in an office. Just because you are working in a conventional practice doesn’t make you a landscape architect.

Also the work of people expanding the way think about landscape People like Elise Hunchuck whose research, work, and representations overlaps with other forms of place identification and critical thinking to bring new ideas about landscape to light.

Also- students! Where are the students out there pushing the boundaries of the discipline, making new and relevant perspectives through well thought out thesis research and projects. What are you doing and why is it so important? Share!

I’m curious- we’re all curious-
about this other segment of the discipline, the other paths in the discipline.

To be resilient, you have to be relevant, not repetitive. It’s the other stuff that will make that happen.
