We are utterly devastated by the death of Mary Agyeiwaa Agyapong.

We have been campaigning for the protection of pregnant healthcare workers since the gov briefing on the 16th Mar.

So many tell us they are being denied risk assessments 1/

Forced to work despite the gov telling them to socially distance. All of this rooted in unclear guidance, that's being interpreted haphazardly from trust to trust. 2/

The NHS has never known pressure like this. But the NHS is not some abstract unrelatable organisation. It's made up of people like Mary, with families - and children that will never know them. 3/

They deserve our applause, yes.
But they also deserve our protection.
