Twitter rows with PE teachers: they all say the subject has changed beyond recognition and they are nothing like PE teachers in the old days blah blah blah. And yet... and yet they all still justify participation in compulsory team games.
Proving, even today, that PE teachers are the class enemy of those of us with dyspraxia. We must remain ever vigilant in fighting their dogmatic insistence on using the instruments of the state to force their particular hobby on unwilling children.
And if it is a different era and everything has changed beyond recognition there are an awful lot of people in their late teens and early 20s recounting terrible experiences of school PE on social media as well as parents worried about the awful way their children are treated.
"I'm a teacher and it baffles me that PE teachers often still seem largely able to get away with a level of elitism, and disdain for less able pupils, which would these days be totally unacceptable in other school subjects."
For all those saying humiliating PE lessons in schools are a thing of the past and the teaching has changed beyond recognition this thread on Mumsnet detailing some awful experiences children are going through is all of 18 months old. https://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/education/3453786-Did-you-dislike-PE-Do-your-kids-dislike-PE?messages=100&pg=1
